At the southeast end of Syros, in Lithari cape, there is the only two-storey lighthouse in Greece. It is a square building with a circular tower of 12.5 meters high, which was first opened in 1894.

During the Second World War the lighthouse was kept closed and was reopened in 1949. In 1988 the oil machines were replaced and the lighthouse started using solar energy.

At the highest point of Skyros, on a steep cliff 179 meters above the vastness of the Aegean Sea, you will see the castle of Skyros.

The rock was the center of the island’s events from the prehistoric and the mythological era. Here was the ancient citadel and seat of King Lycomedes. At "Cave Andros", king of Athens,Theseus, was killed by Lycomedes. Also here is the place that Achilles hid while he was dressed as a woman trying to avoid the Trojan War.

Sandy beach, far enough from the village, with emerald waters and trees that provide shade.

This is a beautiful beach in the heart of a sheltered bay with great views. It has fine sand, clear water and pine trees.
